This piece was made in collaboration with poet and language activist Hina Kneubuhl as part of the installation RECLAIM for the Smithsonian Asian Pacific Center's Ae Kai project in Honolulu, Hawaii. Bose did hand printing on the sari in Washington DC using her shad fish woodblock and Bengali words about climate change, including flood, climate change, shad, woman. Kneubuhl composed a poem in Hawaiian and placed it on the sari in a swirling pattern using silk screen. A rough translation: "The storms are pounding, the seas are swelling, if the government does not steward the earth, the people will rise."
